Misja Helsloot - Rediscover

At just 19 in 1992, Misja Helsloot started organizing parties and mixing music. Six years later, DJ Tiësto gave him the opportunity to mix In Trance We Trust 001, which was released in 1998 and gained traction in the Netherlands, Israel, and Norway. In 1999, Misja launched his sublabel C4 and released The Creation - Day One. He performed at major festivals like Hyperstate and followed up with The Creation - Day Two in 2000. In 2001, he co-founded Gesture Music and released First Second, gaining support from top DJs like Paul van Dyk.

Misja’s career expanded with performances at Dance Valley and Trance Energy, alongside the release of In Trance We Trust 007. His debut album, All Inclusive, dropped in 2009, followed by What The Helsloot in 2019. He’s released music on top labels like Future Sound of Egypt and Armada Music, performing at A State of Trance and Luminosity Beach Festival. In 2017, he launched his Open To Close concept across Europe. In 2022, he teamed up with Michael de Kooker for the Hel:sløwed project, blending progressive and trance into a rich sound, honoring early clubbing while embracing modern techniques. Their passion for melodies, deep techno grooves, and old-school trance is what unites them while making a major impact with the releases on labels like Armada and Spinnin' Records.
