'Silence Is Underrated' is Myon's organic/downtempo album

Myon, a Hungarian artist now based in the US, is a prominent figure in the electronic music scene. Known for his versatile production style that blends trance, deep house, and core house, Myon has a rich background in jazz and pop, which he skillfully integrates into his music. After a decade of success as part of the duo Myon & Shane 54, who reached #62 on DJ Mag's Top 100, Myon has continued to innovate as a solo artist. Myon has achieved remarkable success in the international dance music scene, merging his unique, high-energy sound into countless dance floor anthems. He has sold out shows at major venues like Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo, Paradiso, and Ultra Miami, and has collaborated with top artists such as Tove Lo and Seven Lions. His music has reached the top of the Billboard charts and made a significant impact on Beatport's trance charts with standout remixes like Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful," Demi Lovato's "Neon Lights," and a diverse array of tracks for artists such as Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, and Craig David.  For the past decade, Myon has successfully run Ride Recordings with mainly trance and progressive releases, but he now felt it was the right moment to create something different. He created this album as a response to his own struggle with long-term insomnia, a problem many others face as well. Myon wanted to use his music to address this issue and provide a tool to help others find rest. With growing awareness around mental health and self-care, he believes this album can offer comfort to those struggling with sleep. It's a deeply personal project, designed to create a sanctuary of sound for those who need it most.

 “The album’s concept was to craft a soothing, immersive experience that helps listeners unwind and drift off to sleep. Downtempo and ambient genres were ideal for this, as their slow rhythms and evolving textures naturally induce relaxation. These genres have personally helped me manage my insomnia, so I wanted to create an EP that guides listeners from wakefulness to a peaceful state of rest, ideally leading them to sleep by the album’s end" - Mario shared. His own battle with insomnia and a desire to create something that could offer relief resulted with the calming sounds of nature and nighttime environments, translating them into music that evokes tranquility.
